Isomorphic Labs seeks about $5 billion in funding talks
Bloomberg reported that the proposed round could value the AI drug discovery company at about $50 billion, but financing has not closed.

Isomorphic Labs is discussing a fundraising of about $5 billion that would give it a valuation of about $50 billion, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Those people said the financing remained unfinished and its terms could change. TNW said it had not independently confirmed the report.
The talks follow a $2.1 billion round in May led by Thrive Capital, with Alphabet also investing. Bloomberg had reported in October that preliminary discussions involved a valuation ranging from $40 billion or more to as much as $50 billion.
Based in London, Isomorphic separated from DeepMind in 2021 to develop drug discovery technology drawing on the AlphaFold protein structure model. Demis Hassabis leads both Isomorphic and Google DeepMind.
Its medicines have yet to reach clinical trials. Isomorphic president Max Jaderberg told the Bloomberg Tech event in London that its drug research remained preclinical. Bloomberg previously reported that Hassabis said in January that the company expected its first clinical trials to begin before 2026 ends.
In September, Jaderberg wrote that the company's IsoDDE drug design engine could use computers to search for new molecules in days.
