Motorola Signature 27 to launch in US at US$1,599
Pre-orders are open for the Android 17 phone, which includes a 7,000 mAh battery and a promise of 7 years of software and security updates.

Motorola will begin US sales of its Signature 27 smartphone on November 19 for US$1,599, with pre-orders already available. The US model comes with 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, and Motorola says it will be universally unlocked. Carrier launches have not been announced.
The phone runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and has a 6.8-inch Tandem OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Motorola lists peak display brightness at 12,000 nits. Its 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 90W wired charging, while wireless charging reaches 50W when using Motorola’s charger.
The camera system pairs a 50MP main camera with a 50MP ultrawide and a 200MP periscope telephoto offering 3x optical quality and up to 100x hybrid zoom. A separate EVS action sensor is intended to improve images of moving subjects in Action Shot mode. The front camera is 50MP.
Android 17 comes preinstalled, with Motorola promising 7 years of operating-system upgrades and security updates but no specified delivery frequency. Supported Gemini Intelligence features include app automation and Sign-To-Text ASL translation. Motorola also says the handset is compatible with GrapheneOS.
US color options are Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive. For a limited time, pre-orders through Motorola.com include a Moto Watch Ultra and a year of motocare extended warranty at no extra charge. Availability in Canada is not planned at this time.
