Gentle Monster has announced a December launch for its smart glasses built on Google’s Android XR platform, with its website listing November 12 as the start of pre-orders. The company calls the collection “Intelligent Eyewear.”

The pre-order date matches one that Warby Parker appeared to disclose accidentally. Google has not confirmed the launch or pre-order dates. Gentle Monster, Warby Parker and Samsung are working with Google on the smart glasses project.

The Gentle Monster and Warby Parker models will have no display, instead offering an audio-focused version of Android XR. They are expected to provide access to Gemini similar to that offered by other devices using the platform, which also supports Samsung Galaxy XR and Xreal Aura.

Alongside the announcement, Gentle Monster previewed a short film featuring Joaquin Phoenix, with Jonathan Glazer directing. The brand said it would make the complete film available in mid-November.
