Samsung has begun selling its Galaxy SmartTag 3 item tracker through its online store, offering individual units for $29 and a four-pack for $99. Buyers can choose black or white for a single tracker; the bundle contains two of each color.

The device works on the Galaxy Find network, but does not support Google’s Find My network. Compatibility is limited to Galaxy devices and iPhones, with Samsung’s iOS app set to provide basic connectivity rather than the full feature set.

Features include alerts when an item is left behind, location history and the ability to activate routines. The tracker carries an IP67 rating for resistance to water and dust, while its battery is rated to last 550 days.

The new model has a more compact, uniform shape than earlier designs, but no longer includes a built-in loop. Samsung announced the tracker before making it available for online purchase.
