RedMagic will begin selling a Gaming Tablet 5 Pro with 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM in China on November 9, the company announced. The configuration costs CN¥6,999, with sales starting at 8 pm local time.

The Android tablet made its Chinese debut in June 2026. It cannot expand its storage through a microSD card, leaving buyers dependent on the capacity included with their chosen configuration.

Internationally, the device carries the RedMagic Astra 2 name and is currently available in 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB configurations. That version also lacks expandable storage. The original Astra included a 24GB/1TB option, but whether a 1TB Astra 2 will follow is not yet clear.

The Gaming Tablet 5 Pro combines a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with liquid cooling and an 8,300mAh battery. Its 9.06-inch OLED screen has a 185Hz refresh rate, while display resolution is 2,400 x 1,504 pixels.
