Raycast has introduced Dictate to AI, a command that pairs a spoken request with context automatically drawn from the app in use. The company said the update builds on Screen Awareness, which brings information from an active app or window into AI Chat.

The release also adds a Dictation AI extension for bringing transcriptions into AI Chat, managing dictation styles and receiving feedback on them. Mac users can enable an AI usage indicator in the menu bar. A separate Contacts AI extension lets them find, add, edit and remove contacts through AI Chat.

Raycast also highlighted other recent changes across its apps. Raycast Notes now accepts images, and free users can keep unlimited notes. The company said its Mac app has received performance improvements, including quicker searches and reduced memory use.

On iOS, Raycast has added a keyboard offering AI writing tools and improved Cloud Sync capabilities. For Windows users, additional Screen Awareness commands allow individual on-screen elements or whole windows to be sent to AI Chat.
