DeepSeek releases open-source coding agent with team chat integration
Super-Agent can handle requests through Feishu and GitHub, but DeepSeek describes it as a research prototype rather than an official product.

Chinese AI lab DeepSeek has made its experimental Super-Agent coding tool publicly available through GitHub, publishing the code as dsh-superagent under an MIT license. The project is designed to perform software development tasks for teams and connect that work with workplace conversations.
According to the project documentation, the agent operates within a single GitHub repository and can monitor Feishu, ByteDance’s workplace messaging app. A request from an authorized person starts a task in a separate session. The agent then responds in the conversation where the request originated, potentially providing a pull request. A web dashboard shows items requiring human input.
DeepSeek says the goal is to reduce the attention people spend coordinating agents and supervising their work. Its project documentation limits action to direct requests or circumstances permitted by a team’s rules, warning that an agent serving multiple people can also consume their collective attention.
Bloomberg reported that DeepSeek is positioning the tool against Anthropic’s Claude Code. However, DeepSeek says Super-Agent remains a research prototype, not an official company product. The public version differs from its internal system, and some proposed capabilities have not been implemented. DeepSeek advises users to inspect and adapt the code before running it.
