Bluesky adds in-app inbox for moderation notices and appeals
The beta tool brings reports, account actions and account standing into one view, though suspension appeals remain on the login screen.

Bluesky is introducing a beta moderation inbox in its app, giving users a central place to follow reports they submit and decisions affecting their accounts. The feature also supports appeals against most moderation decisions.
Access requires enabling beta features through the app’s settings, then opening the inbox from the moderation tools menu. Bluesky says it initially contains no entries, including for users who have already received a strike. New reports, account actions and labels applied to posts will populate it.
Most appeals can be submitted within the app through the inbox. Suspensions are an exception: users must still address those through the login screen.
Bluesky says the change is intended to improve communication with users. It previously relied on email for moderation decisions, an approach the company says made reaching people on independent servers difficult. Email notices also tended to be reserved for serious decisions.
According to Bluesky, app notifications will let it reach anyone using the app and provide updates throughout the moderation process without filling email inboxes. The latest app update separately introduces an optional home-screen widget showing trending topics.
