Apple updates experimental Safari browser with version 256
The release supports macOS Tahoe and macOS Golden Gate and is available through Software Update for users who have already downloaded the browser.

Apple has released version 256 of Safari Technology Preview, bringing fixes and updates to its experimental browser across security, networking, rendering and other web technologies. The browser lets users try features planned for future versions of Safari.
Areas covered by the update include accessibility, animations, forms and editing, alongside CSS, HTML and JavaScript. The release also updates media, SVG, Web API, Web Extensions, Web Inspector, WebGL and WebRTC.
The browser supports macOS Tahoe and macOS Golden Gate. Users who previously downloaded it from Apple’s website can obtain the update through Software Update in System Settings or System Preferences. Full details of the changes are available on the Safari Technology Preview website.
First introduced in March 2016, the browser is intended to help Apple collect feedback from developers and other users. It can run alongside the regular Safari browser. Although designed for developers, it is available to download and use without a developer account.
