Casio’s new G-Shock DWE-5600MTM has gone on sale in Japan at ¥28,050, pairing a square digital watch with a bracelet made from stainless steel and several resin materials. There is no confirmation yet of international availability.

The bracelet uses honed steel links on the side below the six o’clock position. The other half combines urethane and fine resin components, including a translucent link. Stainless steel is also used for the clasp.

Part of the recently introduced monochrome G-Shock range, the model has a gray resin case and a black dial printed with a gray mesh pattern. Silver vapor deposition on the glass adds a metallic finish, while white lettering contrasts with the darker face.

Specifications include a carbon fiber-reinforced resin case using Casio’s Carbon Core Guard construction, shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance. The watch also includes a stopwatch, a countdown timer, multiple alarms and a Super Illuminator LED backlight. Battery life is listed at up to five years.
