Apple has limited the new Intelligent Assistant in Logic Pro for Mac version 13.0 to Apple Creator Studio subscribers, according to its release notes. The subscription costs US$12.99 per month or US$129 per year; buying Logic Pro outright for US$199.99 does not include the feature.

The assistant is in beta and needs a Mac running on Apple silicon with macOS 27 or later. Apple’s earlier announcement specified availability only in U.S. English but did not disclose that a subscription would be necessary.

Apple says the tool combines AI models developed internally with models from third parties. It is intended to help users begin songs, create vocal tracks through prompts, work through production tasks and refine projects already underway.

A separate Apple support document says monthly limits will apply to use of the assistant, with additional usage offered for a fee. The release notes accompanying the standalone edition of version 13.0 omit the assistant.
