Apple has released HomeView Software 27.2 before its upcoming HomeView device reaches buyers on November 13. The software offers an early look at the device’s interface, including personalization options and Control Center.

The device comes with 20 built-in wallpapers in different colors. An image shared by Guilherme Rambo shows an interface for selecting the face displayed on the Lock Screen. Choosing the Snoopy face provides access to multiple animations, while the device’s startup screen displays a “Hello” greeting.

HomeView supports light and dark display modes and can switch between them automatically according to the time of day. A setup animation shared by Aaron (@aaronp613) also shows its Control Center. Rather than using the SpringBoard launcher found in iOS, HomeView uses a launcher named BreadBoard; its Control Center interface runs through a process called CupBoard.

Apple announced HomeView earlier in October. Priced at US$299, it is available for preorder through Apple’s website and is scheduled to arrive alongside Apple’s fourth-generation Apple TV 4K on November 13.
