Best Buy will begin selling Acer’s Predator Atlas 8 in US stores on November 1, pricing the gaming handheld at US$1,300, the retailer said. The launch will be exclusive to Best Buy and marks Acer’s first official entry into US gaming handheld sales.

The retailer reported that pre-orders sold out immediately and said online ordering would reopen on November 1. US availability will be limited to the Intel Arc G3 Extreme model; the regular Intel Arc 3 version will not be offered.

Hardware includes 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and Intel Arc B390 graphics equipped with 12 Xe3 GPU cores. The IPS display measures 8 inches, with brightness of 500 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The controller features high-bandwidth docking alongside TMR joysticks and dual-mode triggers. The handheld also has Bluetooth 5.4, a microSD UHS-II slot and Wi-Fi 7. It uses Windows 11, with support for Xbox Game Pass and the subscription’s complete game selection.

Acer has separately unveiled the Predator Atlas 7, pairing the Intel Arc G3 Extreme chip with a 7-inch screen. Whether that smaller model will reach the US remains unannounced.
