Companies using UiPath’s planned finance AI agents would pay according to document volumes rather than buy a software project, senior transformation director Mircea Giurcan said at the company’s FUSION event in Dubai. He said procurement and invoice processing would be available from early 2027.

Those capabilities belong to the UiPath Solution for Source-to-Pay, with other finance modules, including order-to-cash, due in mid-2027. The company initially announced procurement agents in March using the Purchase-to-Pay name, but did not disclose a price or availability date then.

UiPath said many customers share similar finance processes regardless of industry. Its product team decided about a year ago to package standard finance work into a ready-made product. Giurcan said preparation accounts for most automation-project effort even among the company’s most mature customers, including interviewing employees, examining metrics and developing a business case.

During a demonstration, an agent reviewed an employee’s request to purchase ten laptops for an event. It checked purchasing eligibility, located the necessary approver and identified the usual vendor. After detecting a quote above prices on previous orders, it prepared an email to the distributor and put the purchase on hold awaiting an answer.

Giurcan estimated that a buyer would need about half an hour for that work. He said the invoice agents would gather invoices through their various arrival channels, check them and record them in the customer’s ERP system.
