Samsung Japan has named Galaxy phones and tablets due to receive One UI 9, its update based on Android 17, during October and November 2026. Samsung says the listed updates will be available in Japan within that period; the schedule does not establish timing for other regions.

The announcement follows a rollout that began in September with the Galaxy S26 series and subsequently reached several previous-generation Galaxy smartphones. The Japanese list includes Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy S23 Ultra, alongside foldable models including Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

Other phones named include Galaxy A57, Galaxy A55, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A25. Tablets on the schedule include Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), Galaxy Tab A11 and Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro.

The list is not exhaustive. Some recent Galaxy S Plus models are absent, as are a number of Galaxy A devices and models sold in other regions. Those omissions mean the Japan announcement is not a complete account of devices expected to receive the update.
