Revolut acknowledged a disruption to several services after customers across Europe reported problems accessing its app, transferring funds and making card payments. The company said engineers were working to restore service but gave no explanation for the outage or timetable for a full recovery.

Customers reported difficulties moving money in the UK, France, Romania and Spain. Irish broadcaster RTÉ also reported problems affecting customers in Ireland, where some were unable to make card payments.

Reports submitted to outage tracker Downdetector initially exceeded 1,500 and had surpassed 2,000 by 9am. App problems accounted for 63% of reports, transfers for 20% and login difficulties for 8%.

Some customers said shops declined their cards. Others reported being unable to sign in, send funds or contact customer support through chat. Despite those complaints, Revolut’s system status page listed every service as operational.

In a message on X, Revolut’s support account apologized to customers and said their funds and data remained safe. The company says its personal customer base exceeds 80 million worldwide and that it serves over 800,000 business customers.
