Nvidia plans US$3 billion Meta investment and broader Muse partnership
Meta is seeking up to US$37.5 billion through share sales to fund AI spending and plans to deploy more Nvidia chips and networking equipment.

Nvidia will invest US$3 billion in Meta as the companies expand their collaboration on Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent, they announced. The investment forms part of Meta’s share sale to finance rising AI expenditure. Nvidia said completion remains subject to customary closing conditions.
Meta has increased the common-stock offering from US$22.5 billion to US$25 billion, with each share priced at US$625. Including a separate preferred-share offering, it expects proceeds of up to US$37.5 billion. Meta previously said Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom had expressed combined interest in purchasing up to US$5 billion in shares.
The partnership also includes Meta’s planned deployment of additional Nvidia technology in its data centers. That includes upcoming Vera Rubin chips, Vera processors and Spectrum-X networking equipment, which connects the machines.
The companies intend to improve the speed and reduce the cost of training and running Meta’s Muse models. Launched in September, the Muse agent uses those models to carry out tasks such as arranging travel, completing forms and buying products.
They will also explore cooperation on safety, an area where Nvidia offers its OpenShell deployment system and Sentry behavior-monitoring technology. Muse has faced a security flaw affecting its Mac application, while Amazon has blocked it from making purchases on its website.
