Nous raises $17 million to take household AI service overseas
The company says almost 250,000 UK homes use its agent, which handles tasks ranging from switching contracts to booking appointments.

Household AI company Nous has attracted $17 million in funding for new capabilities and expansion outside the UK. The London-based business plans to extend its service to additional spending categories, more regulated financial work and everyday chores over the next year.
The round drew backing from Heartcore Capital and Mosaic Ventures, which previously invested at the seed stage. Other participants included Chalfen Ventures, Joyance Partners and Bain Future Back Ventures. Monzo and GoCardless co-founder Tom Blomfield was among the individual investors.
Nous acts on a household’s behalf after enrollment, rather than limiting its role to recommendations. Its agent switches users to less expensive deals for car insurance, energy, broadband and mobile service. Other functions include completing forms, canceling subscriptions, managing family calendars and arranging appointments.
According to Nous, its service manages roughly £2,765 of annual spending per household and more than £685 million across its users. The company puts the bill savings for a typical home at £734.
Large language models perform most tasks, but sensitive actions, including financial decisions, follow fixed rules. Nous says that approach reduces error risks. It also says registration with the Financial Conduct Authority enables it to handle regulated products such as insurance.
The service came out of beta in 2025. Founder and chief executive Greg Marsh established the company in 2021 after previously co-founding luxury home rental marketplace onefinestay, which Accor acquired in 2016.
