Meta has released Waddle World, an AI-powered virtual pet game whose availability is currently limited to the Philippines. Listings on Apple’s App Store and Google Play indicate that it became available in late September.

The 16-bit game starts with an egg that hatches into a pet for players to feed and entertain. Alongside those pet-care activities, users can communicate with the character through written or dictated journal entries. Meta’s AI generates a response from the pet, accompanied by a small drawing.

Social media consultant Matt Navarra shared links to the store listings on X. Meta describes the app as a journal presented through a virtual pet, making diary entries part of the interaction with the character.

Players can also earn points through mini-games and spend them on pet food and toys. The games involve balancing groceries on the animal’s head, collecting falling stars while avoiding bombs, and forming words from scrambled letters. The reason for the app’s limited geographic availability is unclear.
