Hybrid Smash, a new app for Garmin smartwatches, is available through Garmin’s Connect IQ Store for €10. Designed for Hyrox competitors, it combines race tracking with training tools and a simulator for the competition.

During a race, the app records running sections, exercise stations and transitions separately. Colored bars show how actual split times compare with targets as the event progresses, giving competitors a way to monitor their pace across its different stages.

For preparation, users can choose preset workouts or create custom sessions. The dedicated Hyrox simulator offers another training option alongside the app’s event-tracking functions. Hyrox pairs functional strength exercises with endurance racing, and the app’s tools are tailored to that format.

Compatibility extends across multiple Garmin wearable models rather than a single watch. Supported devices include the Forerunner 265 as well as older hardware such as the Fenix 6 Pro.
