Google has made Gemini Notebook available as a Connected App, letting users manage notebooks and ask questions about their contents through natural-language requests in Gemini chats. The integration is available now, Google said.

Users can create, change or delete notebooks, as well as add, update or remove their sources. Other supported actions include saving notes, retrieving information and listing notebooks or the sources they contain.

The connection also allows Gemini to answer questions using material in a user's notebooks. Google said the Gemini app will recognize relevant prompts and automatically use the Notebook Connected App. Notebooks were already accessible through the Gemini app's side panel; the new connection adds controls within conversations.

Google said the integration is switched on by default worldwide apart from the European Economic Area, where it starts switched off. Access extends to personal Google account holders, Google Workspace customers and subscribers to Workspace Individual.
