Firefox adds AI form filling and webpage monitoring to Smart Window beta
The desktop features are initially available to English-language users in Canada and the US, with other markets planned.

Mozilla is rolling out tools for drafting form responses and tracking webpage changes in the desktop beta of Firefox’s Smart Window, its optional AI browsing experience. Access is currently restricted to English-language users in Canada and the US.
According to Mozilla, the form-filling tool uses information from selected open tabs to suggest responses. It could draw on a professional profile or online portfolio to supply work history or draft an answer to a question. Firefox’s conventional autofill continues to handle saved details, including names and addresses, without AI processing.
The new tool sends information from selected pages to Google’s Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite model, which analyzes form fields and extracts relevant details, Mozilla said.
For webpage monitoring, users enter /watch in Smart Window’s chat and specify changes to look for, such as lower prices, available products or new job postings. Mozilla said the feature uses Qwen to identify matching changes. Checks can run daily or weekly, cover up to 5 webpages per task and operate only when Firefox is open.
Users can maintain up to 15 active tasks and edit, pause or delete them. Matches appear through the toolbar’s Tasks button, with desktop alerts also available when notifications are enabled. Mozilla said tasks automatically pause after 60 days without a match; checking stops after 90 days without a change.
Mozilla plans to extend availability to more markets in the coming months. Smart Window was previously called AI Window and already offers AI web search, automatic tab grouping and natural-language searches of browsing history.
