Apple has released version 4.1 of Apple Music Classical, updating its appearance with a monochrome icon and replacing red interface highlights with blue. The update is available through the App Store on iPhone and iPad.

The icon still features a treble clef, now shaded black on a white background. It follows the black-and-white branding introduced for Apple Music. Inside the Classical app, blue now highlights selected tabs, links and playback controls that previously used red.

Apple's notes for the update describe improvements to stability and performance but do not explain the design changes. Installation requires at least iOS 18 on iPhone or iPadOS 18 on iPad.

Apple Music subscribers can use the Classical app without an additional charge. Its features include search designed for classical recordings, biographies of composers and album booklets. It also provides curated stations and listening guides synchronized with the music.
