8BitDo opens Arcade Controller Pro preorders at US$119.99
The button-only fighting game controller is scheduled to begin shipping November 30, with a display and a detachable magnetic wrist rest.
Preorders have opened for 8BitDo’s Arcade Controller Pro, the company’s second arcade controller to replace a joystick with buttons. Prices start at US$119.99, and shipments are set to begin November 30.
Designed for fighting games, the Pro changes the layout of the original Arcade Controller with smaller buttons placed closer together and additional programmable buttons. Its 1.47-inch screen supports input monitoring, button remapping and adjustments to RGB lighting.
The controller also includes a wrist rest held in place by magnets. Inside the rest are five spare button caps that users can swap in to change how the controls feel.
Following the product’s June unveiling, further specifications include a larger 3,000mAh battery that takes four hours to charge fully. The Pro is offered in N Edition and White color options. Its starting price is above that of the earlier Arcade Controller, which starts at US$89.99.
