HoYoverse has confirmed an October 21, 2026, release for version 3.3 of Zenless Zone Zero. Called “Journey to the Sky,” the update brings two S-Rank Agents and playable combat mechs to the action RPG. It will be a free patch for the game, which is available on PC, iOS, Android, PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S.

Phoenix, a Fire Anomaly Agent, will debut during the update’s first half alongside her signature W-Engine, Plume of Rebirth. Her Rebirth effect allows her to survive a fatal hit and resume fighting. Severian, a Wind Attack Agent, follows in the second half, which is expected to start on November 11. His Endless Breeze skill provides automatic dodges and counterattacks, with successful evasions generating energy for consecutive slashes. His signature W-Engine is Incarcerating Grip.

The main story returns to the struggle over Roscaelifer, a sky island. Lindverne creates combat mechs using Genesis Reconstruction, enabling players to infiltrate enemy bases in disguise. The machines offer close-range attacks, ranged combat and lasers for battles and puzzles.

A Halloween event called Night of Supernatural Tricks takes place in Lumina Square, where players use Trickmobiles to frighten funhouse guests. Its rewards include an Angels of Delusion outfit, an A-Rank W-Engine and proxy accessories. Separate check-in events offer 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons.
