A buyer has received a boxed copy of the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake before its November 5th release date. Nintendeal shared a photo showing someone departing after collecting a pre-order, raising the possibility of gameplay appearing online before launch.

Nintendeal also reported that shipments had started arriving at stores. Images show gold lettering on the case spine. Retailers generally cannot hand over purchases ahead of the official release date, although early pickups and deliveries have occurred with other Switch 2 titles.

The remake stores its game data on a conventional cartridge rather than using a Game-Key Card that requires a download. Whether Nintendo will require an update at launch remains unknown; such a requirement could prevent early physical copies from starting.

Nintendeal suggested that spoilers would have less impact because the remake largely follows the N64 original. Its changes include updated graphics and controls, alongside the addition of voiceovers.
