World launches identity verification tools for banks and financial firms
The offering combines an identity wallet, a Zoom integration and tools that let AI agents present verification credentials on a person's behalf.

World has introduced a financial-services version of its World ID system at Money20/20, bringing together tools intended to verify people during digital interactions and establish who has authorized an AI agent. The company said it is its first offering tailored to a particular industry.
The package includes World ID for Zoom, which has reached general availability. World says the integration allows participants in video meetings to check whether another participant is a human rather than a deepfake. Its intended uses extend to customer interactions and employees' internal processes.
A separate component, World ID for Agents, allows users to establish credentials called Proofs and delegate them to an AI agent. The agent can present those credentials to financial institutions or other platforms. Users can collect, control and share their Proofs through the World ID identity wallet.
Bain Capital, VanEck Funds, OpenExchange and Outtake are among the design partners exploring financial-services applications. World says the verification system uses quantum-secure cryptography intended to protect Proofs as computing capabilities develop.
Tools for Humanity, the technology developer behind World, has joined Zoom's ISV exchange program. World also plans appearances at Zoomtopia and Cloudflare Connect as it introduces its technology to enterprise customers.
