Tesla has redesigned its app for larger screens, adding native support for iPad and iPhone Duo while extending compatibility to Android tablets and foldable devices. Tesla designer Alex Guichet announced the rollout on October 21, ahead of the iPhone Duo launch on October 23.

The layout places navigation options and controls in a left-hand column, with a larger vehicle or home visualization to the right. Previously, owners of an iPad could use the iPhone version, but its interface was not designed for the tablet’s larger display.

In the vehicle view, users can access charging, climate and security functions alongside a large car rendering and control shortcuts. The energy interface shows electricity moving among the grid, a home, solar panels and a Powerwall. Tesla’s design team has adapted several views and plans additional refinements.

Apple has opened App Store submissions for iPhone Duo apps. Existing iPhone software can run on the device, but dynamic resizing to fill the inner screen requires apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later. Apps without that optimization display black borders.

Tesla app version 4.62.0 is available through the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
