Salesforce agrees to buy Braze for about US$5.66 billion
Braze shareholders would receive US$47.50 per share in cash, with the acquisition subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.

Salesforce has reached an agreement to acquire customer messaging software company Braze in a transaction valued at about US$5.66 billion, including debt, the companies announced. Salesforce plans to integrate the New York business with Marketing Cloud and its customer data and AI agent tools.
The US$47.50 cash offer for each Braze share represents a premium of about 58% over its last closing price of US$30.04, according to Investing.com. The outlet reported that Salesforce shares dropped about 3% following the announcement.
Braze provides software that uses customer activity on websites and apps to deliver messages, emails and offers in real time. Its roughly 2,770 corporate customers include Canva, Instacart, Venmo and Urban Outfitters.
According to Braze’s latest results, revenue for the three months to July increased 26% to US$227.2 million. The company expects sales of about US$910 million for its financial year. At July’s end, 361 customers were each paying it at least US$500,000 annually.
Completion requires clearance from regulators and approval by Braze shareholders. Salesforce expects to complete the purchase during its 2028 financial year, beginning in February 2027. The company said the acquisition would leave its current financial-year forecast unchanged; it has not provided guidance for the next year.
