Nothing has begun distributing the stable Android 17-based Nothing OS 5.0 update globally to four more models: Nothing Phone (3a), Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, Nothing Phone (4a), and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. Distribution is being staggered, so availability will vary rather than reaching every owner at once.

Among the interface changes, Glyph controls move into a separate app with a revised layout. Quick Settings gains a split mode that separates it from notifications. Home screen organization also gets bulk icon management, alongside three additional widgets named Collector, Away Time, and Glyph Timer.

Customization additions include a system-wide Translucent theme and more options for the lock screen. The camera interface has also been redesigned. A Dual-view Video mode enables simultaneous recording through the rear and front cameras, while a yellow AI Processing indicator signals when the phone is handling potentially sensitive AI data.

The expansion follows the earlier rollout to Nothing Phone (3). Owners of the newly supported models can check availability through the system updates menu in their phone’s settings.
