Apple’s forthcoming high-end MacBook Pro redesign is expected to feature narrower screen bezels and a reworked hinge designed for touchscreen use, according to details Mark Gurman shared on X.

In his October 26, 2026, post, Gurman said the hinge would provide greater stability, keeping the laptop from rocking when users touch the display. He also described a modest reduction in case thickness and a more noticeable reduction in weight.

The redesigned model is expected to have an OLED touchscreen. Gurman previously reported that it would use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, with a hole-punch camera cutout and Dynamic Island taking the place of the display notch.

The bezel and hinge details add to earlier reporting about a thinner, lighter design. Apple has also unveiled an M6 MacBook Pro, separate from the high-end redesign expected at its upcoming reveal.
