Garmin has begun distributing Beta Version 7.13 globally for its Fenix 9, Fenix 9 Pro and Enduro 4 smartwatches. The company lists 35 changes, covering new settings, activity tools and fixes.

The beta disables Dive and ECG features. Garmin has not confirmed a timetable for bringing the v7.xx software to its stable channel. This is the first publicly available firmware in that version series.

Five additions include a flashlight timeout control and the ability to edit distances in the Indoor Cycling and XC Ski Indoor activity profiles. Walking and running activities gain post-activity cards for Pack Weight and Pack Weight Calorie Burn Rate. Some watch faces also receive a setting for a smooth-moving second hand.

The update includes 25 bug fixes, according to Garmin. These address notifications making sounds in silent mode, missing course previews and several potential shutdowns, including during sport changes, Spotify playlist switching and Outdoor Maps+ downloads.

Other changes cover Epic app responsiveness, the World Timer watch face, golf shot detection, Indoor Row activity and translations.
