FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem (FFR) has acquired Faraday Future’s robotics business, the companies said, with the transaction closing on 23 October. The Nasdaq-listed sister company paid with stock under an agreement that valued the business at about US$200 million.

Faraday Future is expected to hold about 65.7% of FFR after its newly issued shares are converted into ordinary stock. That conversion requires approval from shareholders.

YT Jia, Faraday Future’s founder, is becoming FFR’s chief executive and will retain his CEO position at Faraday Future. A filing with US regulators names his nephew, Jerry Wang, as executive chairman of both businesses.

FFR forecasts October robot shipments of more than 300, which it says would set a monthly record and bring cumulative shipments above 1,100. Its shipment forecast for 2026 is about 2,000 robots.

Faraday Future previously said most of its robots come from one outside manufacturer. The company’s forecasts put the robotics business’s revenue for 2026 at about US$7.1 million; those projections have not been checked by an auditor.
