Casio and Union unveil G-Shock watch in Pan-African colors
The collaboration is scheduled to reach the US on November 6 for US$165, with a Japanese launch following on November 7.

Casio and streetwear retailer Union have unveiled a DW-5600 collaboration that combines Pan-African colors with Union logos. The watch, designated DW-5600RBG-1 in the US, is set to go on sale through Union’s online store and its Los Angeles retail location for US$165 on November 6.
The design draws on the black, red and green of Marcus Garvey’s Pan-African flag, with those colors also used on the strap retainers. Union’s Frontman logo is etched into the metal case back and becomes visible on the display when its white LED backlight is switched on. The watch comes in matching custom packaging.
Casio retains the standard DW-5600 specifications, including shock resistance and water resistance rated at 200 meters. The bio-based resin case measures 48.9 x 42.8 x 13.4 mm, and the watch weighs 52 grams. Mineral glass covers the display.
Features include flash alerts, a multifunction alarm, a full auto-calendar, a stopwatch measuring 1/100-second increments and a countdown timer spanning 24 hours. Its CR2016 battery has a five-year life rating. In Japan, the DW-5600RBG-1JR is scheduled for November 7 at ¥19,800 through Union’s Tokyo and Osaka stores.
