Bull and Schwarz Digits plan joint European AI infrastructure
The planned collaboration targets regulated and strategic sectors, with sensitive data and operations intended to remain under European control.

Bull of France and Germany’s Schwarz Digits are planning a joint European infrastructure offering covering AI servers and cloud software. Bull said the companies agreed a memorandum of understanding and presented their plans in Berlin during the German government’s 2026 Digital Summit.
The partners say they want to help European organizations expand their AI and enterprise computing capabilities, particularly in regulated and strategic sectors. Their proposed approach would keep sensitive information, computing infrastructure and operations within European jurisdiction and control.
STACKIT, the cloud service from Schwarz Digits, will form part of the offering. Bull will provide AI expertise and experience with large high-performance computing projects. Schwarz Digits belongs to Schwarz Group, the owner of Lidl and Kaufland.
Server production would take place in Angers, France, at Bull’s factory, using its direct liquid cooling technology. Business and public-sector customers will also be able to buy the BullSequana AI platform through STACKIT Marketplace.
The companies also intend to jointly design servers using Open Compute Project standards. Other planned work covers SAP RISE integration and large high-performance computing projects, alongside exploration of quantum computing integration.
