Bending Spoons has finalized its acquisition of online whiteboard platform Miro, the Milan-based company said. The transaction, paid entirely in cash, follows its purchase of Airtable.

As the deal closed, some departing Miro shareholders put about $295 million from their proceeds into Bending Spoons. Through a private placement, they acquired about 6.2 million newly issued shares.

Miro was outside the scope of Bending Spoons’ outlook dated 13 August, which included only businesses under its ownership on 12 August. The company said it expects its next results to incorporate Miro.

Luca Ferrari, Bending Spoons’ chief executive and co-founder, said the company intends to apply its technology and expertise to improving Miro and supporting its growth. More than 250,000 organizations use the platform, and Miro puts its user count at more than 100 million.

Bending Spoons also identifies AOL, Brightcove, Eventbrite, Evernote, Tractive, Vimeo and WeTransfer as major businesses in its portfolio, alongside Airtable.
