Owners of Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 can test Siri Recap and Live Rewind through the watchOS 27.3 beta. Apple introduced the Audio Intelligence features in September alongside those watches.

Access requires Apple Intelligence to be enabled on a compatible iPhone—an iPhone 16 or later, but not iPhone 16e. Initial support is restricted to English, excludes the EU and comes with daily limits on use.

With Siri Recap enabled, Apple Intelligence creates a conversation title and summarizes its main points for retrieval in the Siri app. Apple says those summaries will omit sensitive information, including financial details.

Live Rewind lets users double-press the Digital Crown to read a transcript covering the preceding 15 seconds of conversation. They can question Siri about the text or keep it for viewing later through the Siri app.

The watches' microphones can continuously pick up nearby audio. Apple says the tools do not record or store that audio, and the S11 chip can handle it in isolation before immediately deleting it. The company also says neither its operating systems nor apps, users or Apple can access raw audio.

According to Apple, Audio Intelligence does not identify speakers or attribute their remarks. Users can decline individual features, and some need manual activation. Live Rewind produces a chime even with silent mode enabled, accompanied by an on-screen animation and microphone indicator.
