Apple Music’s Selfie Sing feature allows users running the iOS 27.3 beta to film themselves singing along to selected tracks. Its dedicated playlist is also visible on iPhones with iOS 27.2, but activating the front-facing camera requires the newer beta.

Users choose a track and open the camera view through a camera icon. A red button starts video recording as lyrics scroll across the screen. Once the song ends, users can adjust their vocal volume or apply one of four effects: Megaphone, Echo, Concert Hall or Studio.

Completed recordings can be stored in the Photos library or shared. Apple’s description presents the feature as a way to create video selfies with songs from the playlist, adding microphone effects before saving or sending them.

The playlist includes Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and Oasis’s “Wonderwall.” Selfie Sing recording is not available for every song in Apple Music’s catalog.
