Apple announces OpenAI-powered assistants for Creator Studio
Existing subscribers will receive the update free in November, with MotionVFX integration also coming to Final Cut Pro for Mac.

Apple has announced updates to Creator Studio that combine its own AI models with OpenAI technology to assist with music production and document tasks. The company said the features will arrive in November at no additional charge for existing subscribers, but gave no precise launch date.
Logic Pro for Mac will gain an assistant in beta that Apple says can help users begin songs, configure vocal tracks through prompts and refine projects already underway. Other changes include a Stem Splitter capable of separating drums and a redesigned Browser bringing together sounds, music understanding and a Splice library.
Assistants in beta are also coming to Keynote, Pages and Numbers. Apple says they will use document context to help with slide design and animation, drafting and revising text, and calculations and data visualization. Numbers will also offer chart recommendations with previews and create custom tables.
Support for Model Context Protocol, or MCP, will allow outside AI tools and agents to access content, make changes and carry out automated tasks within those three productivity apps.
For video editors, Final Cut Pro for Mac will integrate MotionVFX, providing thousands of elements alongside rotoscoping, tracking and color-grading tools. Editors will also have access to Apple's Content Hub inside the app, including curated stock footage, photographs and backgrounds, plus editing integration with Pixelmator Pro.
Pixelmator Pro will add Generate Fill, a tool for changing selected image areas through natural-language requests. Keynote, Pages and Numbers will receive additional premium templates and themes, along with stock video through the Content Hub.
