Apple has introduced a beta version of Intelligent Assistant for its Keynote, Numbers and Pages apps, with access limited to Apple Creator Studio subscribers. The subscription costs US$12.99 per month and covers Apple's creator apps.

The assistant offers different tools in each app. In Numbers, it can create tables, visualize data and produce formulas from natural-language requests. Pages users can generate an initial draft or individual sections, change the tone of their writing and request images or shapes.

For Keynote, the assistant can create and revise slides, supply presenter notes, add animations and generate visual elements. Across the three apps, it can find information online and insert it into a document. Apple says it can also guide users through advanced functions and suggest features to explore.

Creator Studio subscribers also receive additional themes and templates, alongside curated videos available through the Content Hub. The apps themselves remain free, with some capabilities requiring the subscription.

The updates add iPhone Duo support across the three apps, although that change is not listed in the release notes. All users receive performance improvements and bug fixes, while Keynote gains an Interchange Format to import and export presentations. The updates are available again after the apps were temporarily removed from the App Store.
