Aina has introduced a smart ring that it says can operate AI agents and connected apps, with preorders opening November 5. The introductory price is $399 and will increase to $499 when the offer ends. Shipments are planned for January 2027.

The company is presenting the device as a controller rather than a health-tracking wearable. It combines a microphone and speaker with a small display and joystick. According to Aina, users can issue spoken AI prompts, record notes, create reminders and handle phone calls.

Aina says the display presents phone notifications and identifies the app being controlled. Navigation uses the joystick, while gestures can perform different actions according to the app or content on a connected smartphone or Mac. Other functions include music controls, operation of smart home devices including Apple TV, and Mac dictation through Wispr Flow or Aina’s dictation engine.

The ring extends an approach used in Aina’s earlier Mirage controller, which had three keys with shortcuts that varied by Mac app. In Google Meet, for example, those buttons could be assigned to camera, microphone and meeting-exit controls.
