1Password has introduced a platform designed to let personal AI assistants log into users’ accounts without receiving their passwords. The Toronto-based company said 1Password for Agents gives users control over whether to authorize each requested sign-in.

Under the system, an agent identifies itself to 1Password using a digital key when it encounters a login page. The user’s device displays the account being requested and the reason for access. If permission is granted, 1Password fills in the login form directly, keeping the password in the user’s vault, the company said.

Partners include Meta Superintelligence Labs’ Muse assistant, OpenAI’s ChatGPT Work and dots, SpaceXSI’s Grok Bot, and Town’s Townie. Anthropic’s Claude Duet is also listed, although 1Password said its sign-in capability would follow soon.

Browserbase, Browser Use, Perplexity and Ramp are among the other companies signed up. Pricing was not disclosed, and 1Password did not specify when individual partners would launch their integrations.

The platform extends Secure Agentic Autofill, which 1Password introduced in early access with Browserbase in October 2025. The company said people sometimes paste passwords into agent chats to enable tasks such as paying bills or booking holidays, leaving copies outside their control.
