Whelpley & Paul Webster are approaching their 100th anniversary in the coming year and have started preparing for the celebration of their centennial. Over the years, Whelpley & Paul have made sure that their practices stay up to date with the latest technology, and they’re also excited to announce that they’ve renovated their Greece location to reflect the growth their practice has made.

“I’m very proud to work somewhere that has such deep roots in the community,” said Morgan Roehm, O.D., who works at both the Greece and Webster locations. “I love working with patients and finding out that their family has been coming to us for multiple generations. Those kinds of ties are rare in this industry, and I don’t think most people realize just how long a hundred years is! We’ve lasted this long because we have adapted, and we’re forever, continuously improving for the future.”

The renovation is a means of furthering Whelpley & Paul’s commitment to bring high-quality, customized care to their patients. The renovations to their Greece location will provide a more modern space, as well as updated technology. The new equipment includes autorefractors, which provide extremely precise prescription measurements, and tonometers, which help measure intraocular pressure inside the eye.

“I started at Whelpley & Paul’s Brighton practice,” said Dr. Roehm. “I’ve since transitioned over to Webster and Greece, and it’s such an honor to be part of something so exciting with the anniversary and the updating of the office. There’s been a celebratory feeling in the air from having been able to help people for over a century. Old or young, we’ve been caring for something that affects people’s quality of life no matter their age, and we’re all extremely excited to see what the next century will look like.”

Whelpley & Paul’s centennial will be taking place next year. Both the Webster and Greece locations are taking appointments for new and current patients.
