The Karen Corcoran Walsh Scholarship for Future Mental Health Professionals Winner Is Chosen

Boca Raton, Florida Nov 10, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - The Karen Corcoran Walsh Scholarship for Mental Health Professionals winner has now been selected. The scholarship provides education funding for one lucky student who is studying to become a mental health professional in the future. The scholarship was eligible for students living and studying in the United States. Those enrolled in universities or colleges studying to become mental health professionals were invited to apply for the scholarship. Students in high school who will go to university and take a healthcare course with a mental health focus were also advised to apply.  Students eligible for the scholarship were required to email their application in word format to [email protected]. Along with the essay, students were to provide their names, phone numbers, email address, address, names of high school and graduation dates, names of universities currently enrolled in, their personal Bio, and GPA. The scholarship has been awarded based on a creative essay competition not exceeding 1000 words answering the question "Describe an area in mental health that needs improvement and how you will use your education to help improve upon the issue" The winner of the scholarship has been awarded a total of $1000 to help towards tuition fees.
