Dec 18, 2023

Eco-adventure travel site Ever Wonder Adventure released a tourist guide for Puerto Princesa, a coastal city located in the western Philippine province of Palawan.

In its new guide, Ever Wonder Adventure recommends four natural attractions that tourists should check out when they visit Puerto Princesa. They also suggest some activities they can indulge in while at these locations, including snorkeling with whale sharks and exploring shipwrecks.

Called the “last ecological frontier” of the Philippines, Palawan is an archipelago composed of one main island and more than 1,700 micro-islands. Puerto Princesa - which is located on the main island - is Palawan’s capital city and one of its most popular tourist destinations. The purpose of Ever Wonder Adventure’s new guide is to let readers know about the many opportunities that this tropical haven offers.

The first spot that Ever Wonder Adventure highlights in the guide is Honda Bay, which is located to the northeast of Puerto Princesa. “Hop aboard a traditional banca boat and set sail on a breathtaking island-hopping tour of the bay,” the guide says. “Dive into the crystal-clear waters and snorkel alongside magnificent whale sharks as they feed on local fish.”

After Honda Bay, the next place that the guide encourages tourists to visit is the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, the Subterranean River gives them the chance to navigate limestone towers, interact with mystical stalactites, and zipline through the nearby jungle.

Another place featured in the guide is El Nido, a small beach town with several relaxing resorts. Here, they can sail the calm waters of Bacuit Bay, checking out numerous secluded lagoons and beaches along the way.

Lastly, Ever Wonder Adventure urges tourists to go to Coron, a small fishing municipality to the north of Palawan. This spot is particularly good for underwater explorers and history enthusiasts, as its waters are home to numerous Japanese boats that were shipwrecked during World War II.

“With its emerald islands, turquoise waters, and a plethora of natural wonders, Puerto Princesa offers an unforgettable adventure for all who visit,” said the spokesperson. “After reading our guide, we hope you’ll embrace its allure and embark on an extraordinary tropical journey that will leave you in awe.”
