National O'Cannabiz Best Companies 2022 Awards

Toronto, Ontario, Canada - June 19, 2022 —

The O’Cannabiz Conference was held in Toronto on June 1-3. The organizers purpose of the O’Cannabiz Event was for them to apply their expertise at creating new business roadmaps for the future, and bringing forth thoughtful discussions through panels and webinars featuring hot-button issues of the day.

On June 1st O’Cannabiz put on the O'Cannabiz Industry Awards Gala. Hosted by Gerry Dee. The national annual event, honoured professionals and companies as well as recognizing excellence and innovation. The gala was held at the astonishing Castle Loma, with all the attendees dressed to impress.

We asked David Hyde, How does it feel to have won Best Business Consultancy Award

“It feels great to be recognized by our peers in the industry, by the clients that we have worked with and colleagues from other companies who voted for us. They believe that what we represent, how we do business and what we have accomplished in the industry is deserving of an award. “

“We’ve actually just launched a new global company called Cannabis Global Consultants. We are offering our expertise to the global market. Learning through trial and error in Canada, we’ve seen firsthand what works and what doesn’t work in the regulated space. This allows us to really support our clients and help them avoid some of the pitfalls we have seen.”

“Thank you, we were actually nominated for 2 awards and came home with the social media influencer award. It was our second win in a row. It was a whirl wind so much to see and do, and so close to our conference June 15/16 in London. 

All of us on The Green room had a phenomenal time. We interviewed over 25 Speakers, industry leaders and award winners OH YA THAT!!!. We loved being able to get back in the community and engage with the industry. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners. We look forward to working with you as together we continue to grow “

Dean Jessop, of D’Anterior walked away with the Best Engineering Award. We asked how he feels, “winning the engineering award was a shock, with all the great companies that where also nominated along side us, and our peers chose D’Anterior. I guess our unique designs and building quality has been noticed from inside the industry. We would not have been able to reach this benchmark, if it wasn’t for a hard-working team of professionals.” Dean also says “Everyone that's nominated here tonight needs a round of applause, as they are specialists in their own field.”

Cannabis is not what it us to be, it’s a nascent and increasingly profitable legal business that, if this Gala event shows me anything, is that the professionalism that you would expect at a fortune 500 company, is magnified with all these articulate professional individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting tonight.
