Mr. David Wei Yan is a serial entrepreneur who established his first company in 1988 in China. In 2007, David Yan established Bohong China Real Estate Development Company in Shijiazhuang, China. The company's main focus was real estate development. Bohong Inc. created over 6 million square feet of building space in China.
Looking for ways to apply the next generation of tech into construction and diversify internationally, Yan founded Bohong Network Technologies and Bohong Inc. in 2003 and 2012, respectively. In 2016, he established Silicon Valley Innovation Park to harness the unique environment of Silicon Valley to support the growth of technology enterprises and science.
Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, Bohong Inc. is an integrated development firm that provides services in residential real estate development, renovation, management, investment, acquisition, entitlement, and other consulting services in San Francisco Bay Area. The company completed or is in the process of construction on several projects. These include Genesis Villas Project, the Adams Villas Project, 45976 Warm Springs, and child care renovation among others. So far, David Yan and his
company have built over 23,000 square feet of building space in Fremont.
David Yan vividly remembers the first lower-income resident to move into the new Townhouse Project. It was an Indian American single mother with two children who told him that after being in the United States for 20 years and renting, she was finally able to afford to buy a property. During the construction period, the company's design team worked with her family to create a space that would suit their special needs. To this owner, it was not just a house, it was a home.
In 2019, California Small Business Association awarded Bohong the Small Business of the Year award for the 25th Assembly District of California. Bohong Inc. was recognized for its high business ethics and continuous commitment to customer service. Kansen Chu (Senator for the 25th District) said at the event: "Small business has created many business opportunities and employment opportunities by providing unique innovative products and platforms and has always been crucial to the success of California's economy."
In 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic, California Governor Gavin Newsom awarded Bohong, Inc. the 2021 Certificate of Recognition. The Certificate of Recognition was awarded for Bohong's continuous support of the community through donations of Personal Protective Equipment to the front-line workers during a state of emergency.
In his free time, Mr. David Yan attends the Home of Christ in Fremont and is an avid golfer.
