AFFINCO Plans Over $1 Million in Travel Technology Investment Through 2027, Led by RoamSonar

Oct 5, 2026

AFFINCO plans to invest over $1 million through 2027, expanding RoamSonar, eSIMDude and eSIMAdvice to simplify eSIM comparisons and travel planning.

Delhi, India (PRUnderground) October 5th, 2026

RoamSonar, eSIMDude and eSIMAdvice focus on clearer eSIM comparisons, eligible discounts and simpler travel decisions.

AFFINCO, a company registered India, plans to invest more than US$1 million in travel technology through 2027, expanding a portfolio that includes RoamSonar and sister websites eSIMDude and eSIMAdvice. The planned investment will support further development of eSIM comparison tools and future travel products, including services related to travel insurance and e-visas.

The company said it has already invested more than US$200,000 over the past 12 months in developing travel platforms and related products. Its next phase will focus on helping travelers understand their options, compare costs and make informed decisions through accessible software.

"Travelers should be able to see what a plan costs, what it includes and whether another option offers better value," said Ali Akbar Fakhri, owner of RoamSonar and founder of AFFINCO.

"We built RoamSonar to make that comparison simpler and help people avoid spending more than they need to."

A clearer way to compare travel eSIMs

RoamSonar brings the comparison approach familiar from flight search to travel connectivity. Travelers select their destination, trip duration and data requirements to explore available eSIM plans in one place, reducing the need to visit multiple provider websites or download several apps before deciding.

Its catalogue contains hundreds of thousands of plan listings, with destination coverage spanning more than 180 countries and territories. Searches help travelers compare prices alongside data allowances, validity periods and coverage. Additional details, such as hotspot support, activation requirements and network information, appear where providers make them available.

AFFINCO developed the service around a common travel question: whether a prominently advertised or familiar eSIM provider offers the best available value for a particular trip. RoamSonar aims to make alternatives easier to discover, while allowing users to assess the conditions behind a headline price.

Eligible provider coupons can offer further savings, including selected 10% and 15% discounts. Coupon conditions are displayed alongside offers, and verified discounts are applied to eligible comparisons. Availability and final prices remain subject to provider terms and checkout confirmation.

The platform supports research for solo trips, family holidays, group travel, business trips and conference visits. Once travelers choose a suitable plan, they proceed to the provider to complete their purchase. Connectivity delivery and customer support remain with the selected provider.

AI explanations and developer access

RoamSonar AI is designed to help travelers understand plan pricing and interpret the available options. The aim is to make comparisons easier for users who prefer to describe their needs in ordinary language.

The platform also offers a read-only API and a Model Context Protocol, or MCP, server. Developers can connect compatible AI assistants, including supported Claude configurations, to retrieve destination and eSIM plan information. These connections use RoamSonar's comparison catalogue and coupon conditions, allowing travel research to take place within an assistant's workflow. Compatibility depends on the client, and public access is subject to usage limits.

Expanding beyond connectivity

AFFINCO's planned investment will extend its travel software portfolio beyond eSIM research. Travel insurance and e-visa services are among the areas identified for future development, alongside improvements to existing comparison and AI tools. Product availability and launch timelines will be announced as development progresses.

"Our goal is to make travel decisions simple and transparent," Fakhri said. "As we build more products, we want people to understand their choices clearly, with straightforward information they can use."
